Bookings are made and a contract between you and us comes into effect when we accept a reservation from you. Your reservation is accepted when we have taken debit/credit card details and confirmed your reservation in writing or by email. When a booking is confirmed a reservation number is given. You must be able to enter into a legally binding contract and be over 18 years to make a booking.
All published rates include breakfast and VAT where applicable at the current rate. Rates are per room per night. If you have selected supplements they will be added to the total price of the booking. Rates do not include other costs you may choose to incur during your stay (unless otherwise stated). Rates quoted are correct only for the specific number of guests, nights and dates shown. Should you change the number of guests, dates or room nights, then the rates are subject to change.
In the rare case that due to unforeseen circumstances we cannot deliver your requested accommodation, we will attempt to offer alternate accommodation. If this is not possible or is unacceptable to you, then we will refund all monies paid by you. Except in exceptional circumstances, our liability will not extend beyond this refund.
ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE
Check-in and check-out times are specified on your booking confirmation. Earlier check-in or later check-out must be requested in advance and is subject to availability.
We reserve the right to terminate your booking immediately without being liable for any refund or compensation where you engage in unacceptable behaviour that causes a disturbance or nuisance to other guests or staff.
We welcome well behaved dogs. Dogs are permitted in a limited selection of the bedrooms at Management discretion. Dogs are charged at £5 per dog per night. Dogs must not be left unsupervised in bedrooms unless caged. Dogs are allowed in all public areas with the exception of the dining room. We reserve the right to charge cleaning and repair costs if your dog damages furniture and soft furnishings.
Complimentary off-road car parking is available. The Management do not accept any liability for loss or damage of property or vehicles in the car park. All vehicles are parked at the owner’s risk.
We will make reasonable efforts to contact guests who have left belongings behind on departure. Property will be returned by means agreed with the guest, and at their cost. Items which remain unclaimed after 3 months will be disposed of. Castle of Comfort is not responsible for any property lost on the premises.
Please note that Castle of Comfort is non-smoking throughout.
Account balances must be paid in full by credit, debit, switch cards or cash on presentation of the invoice at check-out. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Maestro and Visa Debit. We do not accept American Express. Cheques will not be accepted on departure. Any pre-payment by cheque must be presented in sufficient time (at least 10 working days) for clearance.
Cancellations must be notified in writing or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will acknowledge receipt of your cancellation by return. Please do not consider your booking cancelled until you receive our confirmation.
If you cancel your booking within 48 hours of the scheduled check-in time on the day of arrival as printed on your booking confirmation, you agree the sum due for your first night’s stay will be debited from the credit/debit card used to secure the booking, in full and final settlement.
If you cancel more than 48 hours prior to the scheduled check-in time on the day of arrival as printed on your booking confirmation, there will be no penalty. Any monies already paid in respect of the booking will be refunded.
If you amend your booking within 48 hours of the scheduled check-in time on the day of arrival as printed on your booking confirmation, and as a result you cancel any room night with less than 48 hours notice, you agree that a cancellation fee equivalent to one night’s stay will be debited from the credit/debit card used to secure the booking.
If you do not cancel, but fail to arrive for your stay with us, you agree the sum due for your first night’s stay will be debited from the credit/debit card used to secure the booking, in full and final settlement.
